Thanks Darren and Tracey for housing our group of Canadian demanding Cross Country 'dirtbags'! I was a little skeptical of the 'inclusiveness' of this Fully Catered package, but you guys did not disappoint! The airport pickup was a huge bonus. Accommodations were spot on and service was great. I don't think I was hungry or thirsty all week. Darren played guide for us on a few days and showed us some of the best singletrack trails in the PDS region! We will definitely be back -- a week was not enough to explore all the trails here. This was like an all-inclusive vacation for Mountain Bikers!

"I can't possibly recommend this place highly enough - we go away biking every year and this has been the best set-up yet. Darren and Tracy have a superb set-up here and were perfect hosts to our group of nine hairy arsed mountain bikers. They really do go out of their way to make sure you have a good trip. The Chalet is comfortable, clean and well-equipped, with great food and only a short wander into the village to the nearest bar. Darren is as much into his biking as we all are and as a result he knows where to go, has the place set-up for bike cleaning/maintenance and was happy to come out and show us around the trails at whatever level of biking we fancied. We liked the place so much we are going to come back and give it a go in the winter for a skiing/boarding holiday. My only worry with putting a glowing reference on here is that when we come to book again they will be full. Thanks again to you both"

Thanks for a great week with Darren and Tracy (Alpinebreaks) at Chalet Lac Du Vonnes. Our party of 5 had a fantastic weeks mountain biking from the Chalet, the perfect position to explore the Portes Du Soleil mountain bike area. Chatel is an unspoilt village which does not have the man made feel of Morzine and Les Gets and it certainly doesn't have the lift queues. As for the Chalet, Darren and Tracy were the perfect host and hostess, always friendly and welcoming with nothing to much trouble for them. The food was excellent all week and wine was also free flowing with every evening meal. The location of the Chalet in Chatel was fantastic, just 10 min walk from the centre of the village and opposite the stunning lake. Views from the balcony were also breathtaking. The Chalet was kept spotless by Tracy all week despite the best efforts of five men after a days mountain biking. I would recommend this Chalet to anyone in both the summer and winter seasons (I've skied this area three times and its fantastic) and the group of us will definitely visit again in the future. Thanks for a Fab Holiday, we had been struggling to find holidays that would keep our two teenage sons occupied.
We have taken them as far as Sydney & Brisbane (bodyboarding & surfing) but they announced after the first day in Chatel that this was the best holiday that they had ever had ! Thanks to Darren for the fabulous Mountain Bike guiding and thanks to Tracy for making us so welcome in a fabulous chalet." I would just like to say a Big Thank you for the great break. Having been around a few different resorts in France, I found the trails and guiding you provided to be far better than any other could offer. The chalet and food was also superb....Nice one!
